PART FIVE: SPEECH TO PERSUADE PRESENTATION All students are required to present a speech to persuade to an audience, either of classmates or of your choice. You can choose to record your speech and upload it to YouTube (directions can be found on the Course Content page in the Speech to Persuade folder) or present live on November 28th at 1 p.m. or 5 p.m. in the Fine Arts Building, room 3C. You must contact me at rellison@jeffco.edu by 10 p.m., Tuesday, October 4th, and inform me if you will presenting your speech live (if so, at 1 p.m. or 5 p.m.) or recorded. If you do not contact me by that time, your choice defaults to recorded. You must follow the directions given in the Speech to Persuade folder with regard to recording the presentation as well as all other aspects. Please read that information carefully! The oral presentation is worth 100 points and the written keyword/key phrase outline is worth 25 points. If you do not present at all, you will fail Fundamentals of Communication. The speech topic is your choice. The speech is 6 – 8 minutes in length. You are required to use and cite at least five sources, three of which must be library sources (from the library databases). Please keep this in mind when making your topic selection.
