Professional Development Plan
In Part 1 of this benchmark assessment, you were to review the literature to determine effective professional development models regarding student achievement and professional growth of teachers, and then present a rationale for the change to your colleagues based on available data.
Part 2 requires you to present a professional development plan for the year. This plan should take into consideration the following:
• A professional development plan based on identified needs from data from your campus improvement plan
• Appropriate goals, objectives, strategies, and outcomes
• Training targets (grade level specific, subgroup specific, program specific)
• Training calendar
• Agendas/agenda items
• Activities and materials (resources)
• Budget
• Deliverables (what products will be produced by faculty and staff as a result of this plan)
• Expected outcomes
• Family and/or community involvement
• Evaluation instrument for staff development (for each session as well as comprehensively)
• Reflection of practitioners regarding the learning opportunities participants have engaged in
