If you choose this topic, you should be able to describe the organizational structure and hierarchy of the Probation wing of the Judicial Department.
You should also be able to describe the following:
• Who is eligible for probation?
• How does a person get for probation?
• How long the process might take from entry to completion of probation?
• What information does the Court take into account when deciding to issue a probation sentence?
• Are there any costs to be on probation? If so, what are they?
• Can a person request probation instead of a jail or prison sentence?
• Can the person have legal representation before the Court?
• If the person is denied a probation sentence, what happens next?

Finally, add a short reflection of your opinion of the process for probation.

Paper should be three pages double spaced typed. Include a separate cover page.
