Presentation

Using your favorite brand(Southwest Airline), research and create the 6 following components in a PowerPoint presentation.

Component 1: Logo / A high quality image of the brand’s logo.

Component 2: Character / If the brand has a character that identifies the brand, include an image of the character in this component. If it seems as if your brand does not have a category associated with it, think about specific advertising campaigns that your brand did use a character and use that in this component.

Component 3: Sound / If the brand has a sound or jingle associated with it, include the sound in this component. There may be more than one sound associated with your brand, i.e. a song from a tv commercial. You may include more than one sound for this component. Be creative.

Instructions for uploading sound to a PowerPoint presentation:

Find the song or sound you are looking for in the internet. Youtube is a good place to look. In PowerPoint, click on the media browser in the tool bar to insert an audio link > choose record audio > start playing your sound > click record > click stop > click save. You should have the sound embedded into your presentation. If you experience any issues, google “How to record audio on a PowerPoint,” and you should get great tutorials.

Component 4: Tagline / Identify and include the tagline for the brand. You can include more than one. (Read and play the game Great Brand Slogans found in the Reading and Resources folder for guidance.)

Component 5: Brandmark / Identify and label what category of brandmark the brand’s logo belongs to. (Refer to the textbook in the section, Brand Identity Elements, Topic; Brandmarks for guidance.)

Component 6: The Design Elements and Principals of the Logo / Identify and label the following 5 basic design elements and principles in your logo: (color, shape, contrast, focal point and movement) (Refer to the 3 videos on design in the Reading and Resources folder for guidance.)
