PERSUASIVE SPEECH GRADING RUBRIC
A speech will not be graded unless it satisfies the following absolutely essential requirements:
1) The speech must explicitly promote a Biblically redemptive solution to a documented social problem in a way that satisfies the requirements of the Persuasive Speech Guidelines document;
2) The speech must be recorded in front of a visually documented audience of three or more adults;
3) The speech must not be read or seem to be read; it must be delivered with minimal or no use of notes;
4) The speech must be delivered from a visually obvious standing position of 8-15 feet from the camera. A speech apparently delivered from a sitting position in front of a webcam will receive a score of zero;
5) The top half of the speaker’s body must be visible at all times during the speech.
6) The entire speech must be accessible to the professor for online viewing.
