For your first essay of the semester, you are to write a personal narrative on the theme of learning a lesson about yourself. This theme should be implied, which means you are not to have an explicit thesis sentence (i.e. “What I learned from this experience, etc.”). Remember to be descriptive, both of the physical world and of your feelings during the event that you describe since you want the reader to experience the same emotions that you felt.
Some additional requirements for this essay:
• Due on or before noon on February 21
• A minimum of three full pages
• Typed and in the prescribed format for essays
• Carefully edited since I will penalize for misspellings, grammatical errors, and incorrect punctuation
