Your paper must include all of the following:
• An introduction that provides sufficient context/background on your topic for the reader.
• A clear thesis statement that identifies your argument.
• A brief summary of the literature you’re analyzing (no more than a paragraph).
• An analysis/close reading of the text in which you make your argument about how you are using the theme of the body to interpret the text.
• Direct quotations both from your primary source (the work of literature you’re analyzing) and two secondary sources (books or articles that discuss the literature and/or the historical. Social, or cultural background of the literature).
• A conclusion that reiterates how your analysis proves your thesis.
• A works cited page that documents your sources.
