? Start each paragraph with a topic sentence that clearly links the
paragraph to the rest of the subject.
? Provide supporting evidence for each point that you make.
? Revisit the ideas you made, and express it in different ways if possible
to emphasize how the question is being addressed.
6. Write the conclusion
? Summaries the main ideas.
? Finish with an interesting or thought-provoking, but relevant,
comment.
7. Edit the draft
? Check for spelling, punctuation and grammar.
? Delete any sections that are not particularly relevant.
? Change vocabulary to improve expression.
? Present a clean, neat copy.
8. Harvard referencing
? Reference Lists are located at the end of the work and display full
citations for sources used in the assignment.
? Here is an example of a full citation for a book found in a Harvard
Reference list:
? Fitzgerald, F. (2004). The great Gatsby. New York: Scribner.
? Generally, Harvard Reference List citations follow this format:
? Last name, First Initial. (Year published). Title. City: Publisher, Page(s).
? Start your reference list on a new page.
? Type the word References, centered, at the top of the page.
? Double space all references.
Policy:
Number of pages: a minimum of 9 and do not exceed 15 pages.
Margins: Set margins of 2.54 cm on all sides (top, bottom, left, right).
Font size and type: Use a 16-point Times New Roman
Line spacing: Double-space throughout the paper.
Alignment: Align the text flush left, creating uneven right margin.
Paragraph indentation: Indent the first line of each paragraph 5-7 spaces
(use the tab key).
Pagination: Use a header to insert page numbers in the upper right hand
corner on every page of your assignment.
Headings: Headings are used to organize the document
Main headings: Centered, boldface, uppercase and lowercase heading (title case)
Subheadings: Flush left, boldface, uppercase and lowercase heading (title case)
Due Date: March 30, 2016, any students who submits her assignment after the
due date will not be accepted and the assignment mark will be deducted
