Role Transition Essay Instructions/Guidelines

My Philosophy of Nursing Essay
1.    Identify your philosophy of nursing, your values and beliefs about what nursing is.

2.    Describe your vision of yourself as a nurse.  What qualities and characteristics will you possess?

3.    Discuss how you will carry out this vision with patients, families and your colleagues.

4.    Discuss how you will care for your own health and well-being throughout your nursing career.

5.    Make a lifelong learning plan.  What are your goals?  How will you accomplish them?

Essays should be typed, double-spaced, with correct spelling, grammar, and punctuation.

Grading of essays will be determined by completeness of each topic and correct linguistics.
