Based on your reading you will write a paper in which you synthesize the major themes of the course with your literature research to present a clear framework for interpreting/predicting the function of a brain region base on its neuroanatomy. The final paper will be graded for the quality of the view presented and the writing. I chose to write about the neuroscience of second language acquisition. My argument for this paper will be that children learn second languages more quickly and efficiently than adults (second languages are easier for children to learn than adults). You must explain the importance of this argument and go through (present and explain) the relevant and important literature in the field (ex. brain imaging studies) to support the argument to show a comprehensive review and understanding of the topic as well as a strong argument. Also, include a bit of the literature towards the end that is contrary to the argument in context.
