Section I:
Start your reflection by stating the standard and the subsections
in your own words and
in paragraph form.
Section II:
Explain your understanding of what the standard means and how you have obtained
your knowledge and skills in that particular area. Not only are you to explain the main
standard, but systematically discuss each subsection of the standard. You are
basically making a case that you understand the importance of the standard, have vast
knowledge in this area, and have obtained the skills and abilities to master this
standard.
Within your writing, you need to provide support for what you are saying through
references of others work, to include textbook readings, articles, online resources,
theorists, etc. Make sure you use APA format for your writing.
In addition to this, you must identify the artifacts that you have created that demonstrate
you have mastered this standard. You need to put the names of the artifacts in bold so
they are easily identified and also link the artifacts to the bolded words in your
ePortIfolio. You need to clearly explain how each individual artifact demonstrates your
mastery of the standard.
Section III:
Describe how you plan to implement this knowledge concerning this standard into your
classroom. Also, clearly identify the importance of this knowledge to the benefit of your
students, including how this knowledge helps with diversity in your lessons. In other
words, how does this knowledge, skill, ability, etc. impact the teaching and learning
process and how do you plan to use this to enhance your classroom. What is or will be
the impact on your students.
Section IV:
This will be your closing paragraph where you pull your thoughts together, restate the
main points you made throughout your reflection, and demonstrate your understanding
of the need for continuous learning. You need to clearly identify what you what to learn
more about, how you plan to obtain additional training, knowledge, skills, etc. and a plan
for staying current in the field of educational technology. Make sure this paragraph also
reflects the individual standard for which you are writing.
