For Writing Assignment #1, you should briefly research a topic directly related to this course on Constitutional Law. You may use your textbook as a starting point for your paper, however you may not use your textbook as a source for your paper. You must use a scholarly, peer-reviewed source for this paper. If you are unsure whether or not your source is acceptable, ask your instructor. Wikipedia.org, about.com, and other similar websites are not acceptable. Use the CCTC library resources (MyCCTC) to find acceptable articles. Writing Assignment #1 is due January 31, 2016. Your paper must be double-spaced with standard 1 inch margins on all sides. In addition, your paper should be typed in 12-point Times New Roman font. Your paper should adhere to standard APA (6th Ed.) format and must be a minimum of 3 pages in length (the body of the paper should be a minimum of 3 pages—this does not include a cover page, summary page, or bibliography page). All sources should be cited correctly throughout your paper and an entry for each source should be included in your bibliography. You must submit your paper in Microsoft Word format (.doc or .docx). NO writing assignments will be accepted after the due date.
