Spam …. Is it real?
Is there a difference between a live performance and a canned one (CD, YouTube, MTV, iTunes, etc)?
Discuss the differences, and think about why attending a live performance is so much more of a visceral experience, and how technology “sanitizes” (Autotune, EQ, sampling, cut and splice, reverb, dubbing, etc…) the performances.

Good or bad? What’s the difference?
Miles Davis said that music is one of ways: good or bad. A simple statement, yet profound. So, how does one differentiate good and bad music? Gather your thoughts, research, and list them completely with citations to back up your claims, then tear into other people’s arguments!

Discussion #3
What is classical and classical music?
The term “Classical” has been thrown around so much that society has lost its true meaning. So, answer the following questions after researching, and cite your most plausible sources:
– Define the term “Classical.” (Classic is not the term here! It is probably not what you think! Also, this is not discussing music yet!)
– What is true “Classical Music?”
– Popular Culture throws any genre of music, that is not Popular Culture, Folk, or Jazz, into the lump heading of classical music. How does the true definition of “Classical Music” differ from popular culture’s skewed definition?
