Movie production and distribution

Explain the difference between movie production and movie distribution. Does it surprise you that major film companies do not make (produce) all the films they distribute? Or that major film companies only make about 10 movies a year?

(2) What movies did this company distribute in 2008 that it did not make? (3) What companies made those movies?

Was the movie considered a hit by fans? Explain your answer. Was the movie considered a hit financially? Explain your answer.
