This assignment asks you to examine more closely the particular writer or book you used in Assignment 2. Take a position, examining that writer’s approaches to learning. Here your own learning experience – the good/bad experience you have described in the previous papers – will help illustrate the brilliance or wrongheadedness of a particular educational thinker. Evidence from sources, quotes from and references to other writers, citations from news stories, and current events will support your arguments. Your own learning experience is now used as only one of many arguments that you muster pro or con.
This paper intends to be a more scholarly research + argument paper than the previous assignments. Your main focus is on one particular writer, but your argument should refer to others we have read this semester. Your audience here is educated, interested in educational philosophies, and willing to devote time and attention to a serious argument about them. The paper should include citations to 3-4 works or writers and a Works Cited page. 2500-3000 words
