Modern furniture shop

Modern furniture shop

Concept/Brief….:

AREM is a destination store; it also serves as a gateway offering a surpassed range of furniture, lighting and accessories. The store shows over twenty different designs ranging from Bauhaus classics to the latest offerings from Milan. The store also has a variety of designs which come from Bauhaus and most importantly the latest arrivals from Milan. The store has designs of both established and upcoming designers from regions like Alvar Aalto and Harry Bertoia through Jasper Morrison and Ron Arad as well as factoring in new graduates.

The new 4th floor interior is based on Arem’s brand values and vision: Modern, Attractive,                 Non-clinical. As a leading modern furniture shop, Arem encourages these attributes to be included in the space. The new design on 4th floor shows these qualities and gives a different speciality to the brand. Its aim is to improve the brands identity and vision, giving opportunity to explore the store, improve customer profile and advertisement. The floor creates a statement for the brand by using good quality materials/finishes and shapes/ colours which represent Arem’s vision.

The concept is ‘On One Line’. It is through this concept that the 4th floor is divided into two areas; the Bar/cafe area and Lighting/furniture Showroom.

There will be day and night time availability. By Day, the place will be used as a café and by night, it will be used as a bar. During the day time people are able to enter from the ground floor using lift and stairs. At night, they are able to use the lift outside of the building.

The entire 4th floor is connected to the design on the ceiling hence bringing about a new experience for customers. The main aim of the design is to create a division without division in 4th floor.

The ceiling structure and the entire furniture reflect Arem’s design vision in an abstract way. For a new experience, an interactive floor projection system has been used on the bar area. In the Showroom area, lighting fixtures are from the Innermost and furniture from Arem. It is in this way that the two brands are able to sport and advertise each other, like a campaign between two brands with a result of mutual benefits.

THE PROJECT LOCATION is in the 4th floor of Arem store located in 110 Drury Lane , Covent Garden,London. ?t is surrounded by a number of streets exposing the store to a wide community. Being at the helm of the city, the store needs to have modern structure and more importantly one that attracts the attention of neighboring buildings.

The entire 4th floor gets linked together with the design on the ceiling which creates a new experience for customers. The key aim of the design is creating a division without division in the 4th floor.
