For this assignment, you need to do either a misperceptions report or conference proposal.

Misperception report is individual work. self-reflection on your perceptions about Chinese students, American students, American professors, American culture, comparisons between the US and China (or India, Japan, Russia, etc.) that have changed over time. This reflection is 3 to 5 pages, don’t need to be too long but need to be specific and supported by evidences.

Conference proposal is group work. You just need to do one proposal, either from first project or second project. You will need to inform me by tomorrow if you choose this option, and I will make connections with the graduate assistant who is in charge of the conference presentations. You will need to be committed to the conference if you choose this option.

This assignment is due May 13rd. You need to complete the proposal with the graduate student by that day if you choose the conference proposal option.
