MGMT 311/ Organizational BehaviorProctor and Gamble has a long history of continuing to produce products that are of high quality and in high demand. Examining their organizational structure shows how a Multinational organization is able to meet the demands of consumers from varying cultures. In doing this they have a structure that is split up into groups based on products (www.pandg.com). Recognizing the importance of their employees, and the vast differences that can exist for a multinational corporation, they have also put an emphasis on their employees and hiring/retaining only the best. To have a continued level of competency, the leadership focuses on various theories and practices (Jurowski, 2001).One theory they follow is the contingency theory which focuses on putting leaders in a situation that is best suited for them (Northouse, 2009). This is in line with their restructuring of departments. In ensuring they have the best products and to keep an emphasis on employees they emphasize the need to understand what their leaders are able to handle and how.
