For this assignment, you should focus on the reading material for weeks 1-3. Please choose 3 topics from the first 3 weeks of the course. I would like you to find a scholarly article that pertains to each of these topics. This means that your reference list should include 3 articles and the text at a minimum. Your paper should include an introduction and conclusion that summarize the contents of the entire paper. The body of the paper should include a description of the topic, a summary of the chosen article and a paragraph explaining how the two are related. Describe the 21st century manager and discuss how organization culture influences them. What type of manager do you see yourself as? As our society steps up its game and starts to evolve as a nation of independence, leadership, and less violence so do our organizations. Our 21 st century managers took the time out of there busy schedules to reevaluated there workplaces operational behavior. Kreitner was one that seen the changes and as I analyze the past managers and future managers table I myself also see how this change was for the better. Managers no longer follow there fierce and sometime cruel ways, but now they try to be a team member and facilitate not just the customers but there employees as well. Ego-centered leaders are being replaced by customer-centered leaders. Employees increasingly are being viewed as internal customers. All this creates a mandate for a new kind of manager in the 21st century (Kreitner 7). There is a very broad spectrum of guidelines and obligations that a manager was follow to be a successful in his/her organization. I believe that managers now see that your employees are what are most important to any organization or company. Without them you will have no customers, no workforce or workplace. You know how they say a happy wife is a happy home, well it go both ways. You are still the man of the house, but sometimes they need to be reassured that what you have is a team effort.
