MET 406 project problem

Project description
Students are required to complete a project that demonstrates at least two topics covered in
this course. The project involves writing, and then correctly solving, your own Strength of
Materials problem. The problem can be written about anything, so students are encouraged
to choose something they care about. Examples are posted on Blackboard. The project will
be graded based upon formatting (easy to follow, laid out neatly, clear drawings, etc.),
completeness of problem (all assumptions listed, variables defined, etc.), and completeness
and correctness of the solution (proper approaches used, assumptions reasonable, etc.).
