our Topic Selection report should consist of the name of the business you have selected, and a brief description of the nature of the business, the number of employees, their product or service, and an indication of what transpired at the initial contact (which should have been made by then). It should be between a half and a full page in length in order to cover requirements adequately.

An abstract is a narrative description of the general FINDINGS of your report. It is NOT an introduction telling what you are going to do. I’m looking for results here. Outlines should be the same thing, but in a “bullet” format complete with main points and sub-points. Make SURE, however, that your outline is not simply a re-statement of the checklist you have been given. By this point, you should have some specifics. Instead of just listing “Bottlenecks” as a bullet, tell me something about what those bottlenecks actually are. If you do it correctly, each of your subpoints should equate to roughly one page in length in the final report, again to cover requirements adequately.
