Write a 2000 word essay on an aspect of markets and competition in education. The readings provided for assignment 1, the critical reviews, give examples of research into this issue. Markets and competition in education concerns a range of matters, some of which are covered in this module: NAPLAN and the MySchool website, the public/private school debate, access to university places etc.

Alternately, you may wish to write on a global trend shaping education. Again some of the literature presented earlier in the unit may guide your thinking.
