Please help me with this homework
Each one of these assignments ask for you, the employee, to do quite a few tasks. You need to do everything you are asked and make it easy for your boss (me) to understand the results. You need to answer every question and make sure that it would be easy for me to find the answer. Don’t skip any tasks, questions, or formatting asked of you. When you graduate, your boss will depend on you to analyze data and give accurate results. Business decisions will be made on the data provided.
As I look forward to Excel Case 6, which is due Wednesday, I want to clarify what I am expecting of each one of you.
At the time of submission, you should have the following deliverables:
4 separate workbooks (Excel files) – summary, duplex, house, commercial
Within the files, you should be paying attention to:
Formatting
Calculations: month’s total expenses, month’s cash flow, Overall Cash flow, YTD Expenses, YTD Total Income (all formulas provided in assignment)
Avg, Min, Max for every expense category
2 charts -> compare income for each unit and compare overall expenses
You should answer, in a Word document, questions 1-7 in the “Information Specifications” and questions #1-3 in “Test your design.”
You will upload each file to Blackboard. Additionally, you will print the following:
A written statement about any assumptions that you have made about the case
A printout of the SUMMARY worksheet
Print the answers to all 10 questions, including the charts
When you print the worksheets, make sure to adjust to landscape (if necessary) and to squeeze it into one page wide. This might require you to manually adjust the column widths first and, most definitely, use the page setup dialog box to compress the spreadsheet’s width.
It should look like
Houses
Address #1 Address #2 Address #3
Rent
Expenses
Appliance
Maintenance
Etc.
Then you should be totaling by property type (house, commercial, duplex.) Don’t forget the Total, Avg, Min and Max of every expense category on both the individual property worksheets and the Summary worksheet/workbook.
Make sure that you are using 3-D references in the Summary workbook, to pull the data from the individual worksheets. If it doesn’t have a formula behind the numbers, there will be a substantial point loss.
