Consider the following scenario: Large construction sub-assemblies must be transported from the manufacturing site at HanJin Shipyard, Subie Bay, Philippines (point-of-origin) to the construction site of large Natural Liquid Gas (NLG) plants on Curtis Island, Queensland, Australia (final destination). The NLG plants are being constructed on a greenfields site on Curtis Island with no existing logistics infrastructure. The construction sub-assemblies weigh 30 tons each and are more than 10 metres in diameter. More than 50 sub-assemblies must be transported over a 6 month period.

NOTE: Greenfields site construction is a reference to construction on virgin land.
