The body of the literature review is its primary segment. It is here that the actual review of the literature takes place. In this assignment, you will construct a draft of the body of the literature review for your intended study.

Use the following information to ensure successful completion of the assignment:

•Refer to Criterion for Background and Review of the Literature in Dissertation Criteria.

•Prepare this assignment according to the APA guidelines found in the APA Style Guide.

These are the criteria by which this assignment will be judged.

Proposed Dissertation Topic: “The prevalence of post-traumatic stress disorder symptoms among adult genocide survivors: A case study of the Ogoni people in Nigeria”.

Draft the body of the literature review of 1,500-1,750 words for your intended study. The body should meet all aspects of Criterion 2.2: Background and Review of the Literature as found in “Dissertation Criteria Chapter 2.v2.” Include the following in the draft of the body of the literature review:

1. At least two distinct themes related to the intended study topic.

2. At least three scholarly sources related to each theme.

3. At least three sub-themes for each theme.

4. At least three scholarly sources related to each sub-theme.

5. A synthesis of the research in each sub-theme.

6. Use a theory that will add scholarly components to the dissertation so in writing this literature review, it doesn’t just turn into a history lesson of sorts but has theory to evolve around it. I opted to use the “general systems theory”, but you could always use whatever theory that would be best for this paper.

Please look up all the sources pertaining to the “Ogoni People” in Nigeria, “movement for the survival of Ogoni people (MOSOP”, just to know a little bit more about the “Ogoni” people, genocide, PTSD.
