Assignment is a parody of the excerpt from Tim OBriens novel, The Things They Carried. As with any parody you must retain the presentation, punctuation, and style of the original so only the content itself is different. You can make this humorous it is a parody. You should title this, The Things I Carry. Use the one we did in class as a basis.(we just put few words that we were carrying at that moment.) In addition to the long listing, divided by commas, remember to intersect in items on why you carry certain things, as OBrien did, Ted Lavendar, who was scared, carried 6 to 7 ounces of premium dope, which for him was a necessity. And dont forget the intangibles, Kiowa carried his grandmothers distrust of the white man.
