Lifting Equation
For each of these situations, first calculate the RWL and LI, make suggestions
recalculate the L1, and finally comment on the safety of the task (is it safe for nearly
anyone, or would you recommend restrictions for some people?)
1. Lift from pallet on floor to conveyor belt 32? high at 90 degrees. Canons weigh 20#.
Average 5 lifts/min. Assume 1.5 hours duration once in morning and once in afternoon.

3. Load parts into carton. Parts weigh 30 lb. each. V = 42? D = -18? H = 10? L/M

Make recommendation based RWL. Be specific.
