PROFESSIONAL PAPER INSTRUCTIONS & GRADING RUBIC
INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Identify a topic. Consult with instructor for topic approval. The paper will be presented as instructed by your professor to your clinical group in post conference
2. Review related nursing journals on the selected topic. Use at least 2 nursing texts & 3 nursing journals (no more than 4 yrs. old). Preferably 3 years old.(Lewis may be used as one on the two nursing texts)
3. Describe the clinical condition and treatments and appropriate evidence based nursing interventions and implications.
4. A title paper is required
5. Body of the paper is 4-5 pages excluding the title page and reference list. Note well: length of paper is 6 pages: title page plus 4-5 pages of body and at least one reference page. Include the grading sheet rubric when you turn in the paper
6. Current topical summaries such as Up to Date, and CINAHLL Nursing Guides may be cited, but will be counted as textbooks on the reference list, not journal articles on the list.
7. Patient education pamphlets may be cited in your paper, but they are neither textbook nor journal article references.
8. Write in a formal voice. The word you or I should not be used in a professional paper.
9. The Online Writing Lab (OWL) at Purdue University is a very good resource for APA style

I want my focus for this paper to be on what  nurses could do to help cancer patients deal with the fear of recurrence, adverse and emotional effects of chemo drugs, anxiety and fear surrounding diagnostic scans and labs.( nursing interventions)

I have uploaded 5 different  articles for the writer to choose 3 that are most suitable. I am also going to need 2 textbook sources.
