Create a lesson strategy book with detailed descriptions of five or more strategies each under the following headings that could be applied in your English content area classroom (20 different strategies total):
1.Preparing to read (prior knowledge/experience)
2.Reading to learn (including questioning strategies)
3.Reflecting (post-reading)
4.Vocabulary building (strategies)
Each strategy should have all of its accompanying materials, examples of handouts to be given to students, and a brief description of the strategy and how you will use it in your content area. Some examples of potential strategies are KWL, DRTA, PreP, PLAN, etc.
Your lesson strategy book should have a title page, a table of contents, clear headings, and attractive graphics. Ideally, this would be something you will share with your colleagues as a resource for their teaching.
