Week 5 Assignment: Critique Leaders’ Team Building Styles

Activity Description
Select three organizational leaders to analyze for this activity from current research. In a paper, analyze and critique each leader concerning Douglas MacGregor’s Theory X and Theory Y in terms of team building. Then, identify the proper category for each leader in your assessment, and justify why you put the leader in that category. Include examples of various situations or actions which reflect the type of leader each person is. What are the pros and cons of this type of leader and where would this type of leader be the most successful? What type of situation would this leader not be as successful in based on MacGregor’s Theory X and Theory Y?

Support your paper with a minimum of five (7) scholarly resources. In addition to these specified resources, other appropriate scholarly resources, including older articles, may be included.

Length: 5 pages not including title and reference pages
Your paper should demonstrate thoughtful consideration of the ideas and concepts that are presented in the course and provide new thoughts and insights relating directly to this topic. Your response should reflect scholarly writing and current APA standards. Be sure to adhere to Northcentral University’s Academic Integrity Policy.
