Student will apply leadership concepts, skills, and decision making to the provision of nursing care and nursing practice in collaboration with organizations and communities. [II, VII, VIII, IX]
           
Student will demonstrate leadership and communication skills to participate in quality improvement initiatives with health care teams. [II, VI, VII]

interview a prominent nursing health care leader in their role of Nurse Manager, Nurse Director, Chief Nursing Officer, Chief Financial Officer or Chief Executive Officer (please refer to organization chart).
The professor must approve selected (Nurse Leader) interviewee to determine if role is appropriate to assignment. The paper should include a brief biography, a description of the leaders philosophy(ies), his or her major professional contributions, their past work experiences, a description of their leadership style and vision, thoughts about mentoring and advise for new nursed entering the profession. Ideally, the student will choose a nurse leader currently in an area  they are interested in pursing.
