• 1-inch margins
• Times New Roman font, size 12
• Make sure to include a unique, descriptive title
• Use the first paragraph to clarify the specific topic you will be discussing (in your own
words), and introduce the primary source(s) that you will be analyzing in your paper
• Do not reproduce the text of the entire topic in your essay or use long block quotes to fill
space. When in doubt, paraphrase!
