answer tow questions.
1. How does being a Christian help or hurt the ability of a manager to help drive change in his/her organization?
2. What biblical tenets are helpful for managers in ensuring that hey are communicating with honesty and integrity regarding performance measures for employee?
Burger Boy
1. It appears that Burger Boy does not have enough staff members to cover during rush hours due to employees’ not attending work as expected and others are being
held responsible for tasks that they are normally not their responsibility. Workers are frustrated and overwhelmed over this situation as it has resulted in staff
members being treated unfairly, confrontations along with staff being unprofessional.
2. Many of the problems that have occurred at Burger Boy are due to compensation issues. I feel that Burger Boy could have better management if the pay was
better. The supervisor did not treat employees with dignity and respect. It is evident that employees were not being compensated for long work hours. According to
one worker, wages are low which could be a result of the high absenteeism, and the non-monetary rewards are not being provided to make the workers feel somewhat
satisfied with their compensation.
3. At Burger Boy, workers should have been provided with flexible working hours, employees treated like assets, effective communication amongst staff, employees
aligned with Burger Boy’s goal, employees aware of expectations, employees provided with rewards for exceptional performance, person in charge should be aware of each
employees circumstances or needs and all staff having the ability to maintain professionalism and remain consistent. The use of rewards other than pay could have been
used to eliminate problems that Burger Boy was experiencing.
4. Hours worked on a job can be a reward if an individual is being rewarded through monetary or non-monetary compensations. Pay individuals overtime for hours
worked. The utilization of flexible working schedules that meet the needs of employees could be used as a reward as well as allowing personal and sick leave to accrue
as employees attend work. Also, an individual working in a positive environment and being treated fairly by supervisor and other staff could have a lasting effect on
an individual’s performance on the job.
Word of Mouse
1. I found that accountants make more money than counselors because they have been assisting people in controlling their finances as well as counseling them on
the best decisions to make in regards to their finances which can be contributed by many of life circumstances. Counselors only provide guidance in a specific area.
2. Yes, the salary and bonuses are very different from counselors and accountants. If you look at a person working for an agency or one’s salary it is like any
expense of a business. I look at the best person chosen for a position as an investment and like any investment a company should obtain a return. Accounts are known
to bring in much revenue as oppose to counselors. The income that they accounts bring to a company is worth providing them with a high salary. Because of the profit
that accounts bring, they sometimes get bonuses as well. Counselor are opposite of accountants as the pay is not generated by profits. They are provided with more
non-monetary incentives than bonuses and their salary are less because their job is not driven by organizations profits.

4. There are some jobs that I would be applying for due to my work experience and education level. There are jobs that I cannot find an appropriate match. For
example, I do not have the qualifications to apply for an accountant position. I am not affiliate with any organization or networking group that would provide me with
the opportunity to obtain experience in accounting. Working in this type of field, I would need experience working with figures and may educational background would
need to coincide with the requirements of an accountant.

productive on the job.
