In a crowded diner, Darla notices that Von has a very expensive looking briefcase. Consequently, she gets up from her table, stumbles against Von who is eating lunch, apologizes, and walks out with Von’s briefcase.

Sara, who saw the whole thing, follows Darla and asks if she would consider selling the briefcase. Uneasy, Darla says, I’ll sell anything for the right price.

Hearing this Sara tells Darla how much she admires her work, and asks her if she would like a job in Sara’s business.

Darla says she is interested, an agreement is made, and the next day, she and Sara enter a jewelry store, in search of new opportunities. However, when Darla sees a likely looking

shopper outside the store, she leaves the store, grabs Shopper’s purse, and in the ensuing struggle, Shopper suffers a fatal blow to the head.
