Students are expected to conduct an interview with an industry professional (Either Hotel, Restaurant or Travel & Tourism, Meeting / Events) at the management level and prepare a 2-3 page double space written report. Try to ask 4-5 Core questions. Interview questions may include but not limited to:
? Some background information related to the education of the professional.
? How their education is related to their profession?
? What are the challenges they face in today?s hospitality industry?
? What would they recommend you to pursue a successful career in the Hospitality Industry?
? What are the characteristics they look for when they are hiring people?
* Get instructors approval with the list of questions before you complete the assignment. Failure to follow guidelines may result with losing points.

Alternatively, you can interview a career or academic counselor to help you locate a possible field of interest. You will turn in a two-page essay that summarizes the key points of the interview.
