LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT FINAL EXAM

In order to get a better understanding of how logistics and the management of the supply chain is everywhere, the final exam should allow you to better understand the process and also how it fits into your current environment.

For the final paper take home exam, please interview at least two employees who are involved in the supply chain management and/or just logistics management and show how they are using the information presented in the text to the advantage of their charter and mission statement. Yes, you will need a reference to both the charter and mission statement in your paper. Individuals in Group A are to interview Westfield State University employees. Group B members are to interview at least two city or town employees from your home town government who are working in the logistics and/or supply chain management function. Group C members are to interview two of your co-workers who are working in the logistics and/or supply chain management function of your company. Or, if you are not currently employed, interview two employees at either parent’s place of employment.

No, this is not a group assignment. Each individual in the group must research and develop their individual paper.

Be sure to include a reference to the chapter of the text that you use in your paper, including the page number. You must also include a reference from one of the books on reservation in the ELY library (also available in most local libraries) in regards to the style of management used by the individual(s) interviewed.

No, you do not need to include the names of the individuals interviewed. Just include job titles. How do you know who on the staff at school, in your home town, or at work or at your parent’s place of employment is involved in the process? That’s part of your research. Hint: You just might find it in the syllabus or if not, on PLATO.

And you must also include a reference from outside the text (another hint: use the Library Resource Guide for this class) to demonstrate that those interviewed are or are not following acceptable logistics and/or supply chain principles in their day to day business.

The paper should be not more than two pages plus the Works Cited page. It must be double spaced and in MLA format.
