Inspiration in the reading My inspiration in the reading is on the explanation about performing arts. Even though, the author does not give an explanation he goes on to differentiate performing arts with related arts like visual arts, comedy and poetry. At the heart of Pe?a’s idea is that performing arts in not dependent on the stage but rather the body. The preoccupation of people on what constitutes performing arts is then answered through highlighting on the importance of the body in the art. Thus, the body takes precedence as performing arts becoming an inspiration for artists in this genre where creation of art emanates.
