Life-cycle cost analysis (LCCA) is a concept that determine the most cost-effective option among different competing alternatives to purchase, own, operate, maintain and dispose the product or process, when each is equally appropriate to be implemented on technical grounds. It is called from cradle to grave cost analysis. In this project you are required to develop a lifecycle cost analysis for the given product, your efforts will focus primarily on identifying all the cost variables from cradle to grave. Reasonable assumption should be used in other to arrive to a reasonable conclusion.
Identify, define and discuss all the costs associated with the product from cradle to grave. The project should have five different components or sections as proposed in the outline.
Project Outline
Introduction:
History: A brief history or description of the product from cradle to grave, this should include concept refinement and technology development phase, development and demonstration phase, production and development phase, operating maintenance and service phase, decommissioning, phasing out and disposal phase.
Cost discussion: Discuss the cost associated with each phase, you may speculate the cost of each phase to enhance your report.
1) Concept, refinement and technology phase
2) development and demonstration phase
3) Production and development phase
4) Operating maintenance and service phase
5) Decommissioning, phasing out and disposal phase.
