Identification and Overview of a Social Problem

Sociology 102 – Spring 2016

For the final paper in this course you will be asked to apply the steps of the natural history model to a social problem of your choosing. As a logical first step, you will need to identify a social problem that interests you.

Identify a troubling condition that has become the subject of claimsmaking. In a paragraph or two describe the troubling condition using three reputable sources. One source needs to be a peer reviewed journal article. The other two can be news articles. This paragraph should define the concepts of troubling condition and claimsmaking.
