Idea generation

Idea generation
Assignment Instructions
Assignment Overview: For this assignment, you will work individually to produce three different ideas that solve a problem/gap/need. Do not discuss your ideas with others yet as you will be doing that in a couple of weeks when you “test” your idea. Feel free to brainstorm (see ENTR150 Techniques for Idea Generation) with others, though. You may use any of the techniques from Lesson 3 to complete this activity (found in the Lesson, readings, or the forum from your peers).
Assignment Directions: Working individually, produce three different and creative ideas that solve different problems. The ideas can be anything you like and you should report on the following areas for each idea:
Technique – Identify the technique for finding an idea (from Lesson 3) that you used for each idea.
Problem – Identify the problem/gap/need that prompted each idea.
Idea – State each idea.
Description – Describe your idea with enough detail that effectively conveys it to others. What is the compelling need not being met?
Market – Describe the market for your idea. Who is the target market that has this need (demographics, characteristics, etc.)?
Interest – Determine your interest for this idea. Does the idea sound interesting and exciting to you? Why/why not?
Solution – State the reason for the idea solving the problem/gap/need.
Answer the above with one idea at a time; one section per idea. For instance, Idea A – answer all the questions above; Idea B – answer all the questions above; Idea C – answer all the questions above.
Where this fits with Bloom’s: Review the Bloom’s multimedia in Module 1.4.
