humanity language
Paper instructions:
This is for a humanity language class,
For this paper, you will need to compare the results of homework assignments #2 and #3 (BOTH!). In these two assignments, you asked the same set of individuals (or a similar set of individuals) to provide words or expressions referring to male genitalia on the one hand, and female genitalia on the other.
Primary Question: What differences are noted between the two sets of data?
Secondary Questions: Did male speakers evoke particular themes/categories more than women (or vice versa)?
Did male or female speakers use different words to refer to their own and others’ genitalia?
How might these differences reflect our expectations of men/women?
