Human Development Theory
Viewing development as a progressive series of changes that typically occur in a predictable pattern, resulting from interactions between certain biological and environmental factors, offers valuable insights that can benefit multiple areas of specialization requiring delivery of human services. Many theoretical perspectives are proposed to help explain the progressive nature of the human development process. Exploring the theories within the context of your own personal development through the creation of a developmental repertoire—a sort of picture or portrait of what you are like as a person—can contribute greatly to an overall understanding of human behavior.
In this assignment you will demonstrate an understanding of two major human development theories, while applying them within the context of your own development in a personal portrait. The portrait of your development should also be presented within the context of environmental and multicultural influences which include but are not limited to gender differences, ethnicity, age, belief systems, and values.
Develop a 6–8 page personal portrait integrating developmental theory, moral development, within the context of environmental and multicultural influences which include but are not limited to gender differences, ethnicity, age, belief systems, and values.
