Students are required to complete a paper based on a news article that is related to the material we will cover in this course. Your papers will each be a well written and well thought out four page document (double spaced, one inch margins, and with times new roman font size 12) that includes a brief account of the event or article, specifics on how the material is related to what we have studied or will study in this course, and brief personal comments about the event or article. The brief comments are not, “It was cool”, or “I liked it” but instead I want you to look critically at the issues discussed in the article or at the event, and form your own educated opinion about those issues and how they impact the society in which you live.

Course is in labor economics. Article to relate to course.
