The research paper will be 10-12 pages on any topic related to Islamist movements in the 20th century. I choose the Hizb ut-Tahrir to focus on. I think it should be focused in a specific region and time period. I think the UK would work. When receiving my proposal (which I attached) back, my teacher said I could not try and predict the future with the thesis I tried proposing. I want a strong focused thesis to be included on how even though they are categorized as a non-violent group that they still have an underlying violent ideology. I basically still need a thesis created. I need something that is probably geographically and time period specific. They are a transnational movement and banned in my countries. I attached my course’s syllabus to show what my teacher is like. Maybe their ideology on jihad has to be discussed? I know I started to look at my schools database and found some old New York Times articles about the Hizb ut-Tahrir. I am basically in need of a miracle…
