all human societies develop cultures- that is, patterns of beliefs,values and assumptions that help them explain the world around them, define mutual obligations, and help serve as a shared identity.
One of the first questions that culture raises is much of human behavior is explained by the culture we are born into( family), and much is born in to us as human species. The second question involves diversity.
Based on geography, natural recourses, etc. early civilizations developed their own unique identities. Compare are contrast the societies that arise in mesopotamia, Egypt, and india. How they similar and how were they different? can a specific culture shape how they express basic emotions, how they function in society, their religious values?
