Select either a software application or new equipment to be used for privacy and security in a healthcare environment. You are to evaluate at least three other vendors for your choice. It is recommended that you create a decision matrix/chart to assist in the evaluation of the proposed purchase. You are to use real information gathered from catalogs, brochures, etc. Write a letter of justification to the hospital administrator for the purchase of the software/equipment you have determined to be the best choice. Include the reasons for your recommendation.

Note: As part of this project, include the information you gathered about your software, product or equipment if available electronically. It should be placed at the back of this project as supplementary information and should essentially be a list of links used to access the product information.
• For each project, a bibliography/references identifying all sources used, including persons interviewed or surveyed must be included.
• All projects must be submitted via TRACS (NOT the instructor’s e-mail).
• Read the instructions for each project carefully. For questions, seek clarification from the instructor noted for each project.
• Review textbooks, literature and where applicable, speak to professionals in the field to complete these projects. Each resource used is to be included in the bibliography.
• All work must be neatly typed, grammatically correct and contain no typographical errors. The student’s work should be impeccable. Poorly prepared, written and/or constructed projects will be graded accordingly or not accepted.
