G. The task of this paper is to listen to and/or read the transcript of the podcasts designated by the instructor and to write a paper describing the main economic arguments made in the podcast. Be sure to listen to the entire podcast. No other sources should be consulted or referenced. You should NOT include your own opinion.

. This paper is about the material in the podcast. Please do not indicate your opinion; simply report – again, in your own words – on what the material is stating and analyze the main economic concepts.Use economic terminology and analysis in your paper.
K. Be sure your paper is written from an economic perspective and not a political or sociological perspective. Please avoid partisan political comments or disrespectful language. Academic papers should not be emotional, but rational.
L. The Originality Report/Plagiarism Detector will note how many words are the student’s own so be sure to use your own words. If this report notes that more than 20% of the words are not the students then the paper will receive a much lower grade. If the paper submitted cannot be scanned by the Originality Report then the student will be asked to resubmit the paper before a grade will be given for that paper. Plagiarism is a serious academic offenses and obvious attempts at plagiarism shall be reported to the proper academic authorities and may result in undesired consequences for the student.
M. Each paper must begin with the following information at the top left of the first page: Your Name Class and Section Paper Number (1 or 2) The date your paper was written The name of the podcast on which you are writing
N. Grammar, spelling and proper syntax do count. Proof reading the paper is part of the assignment. The instructor will not proof read your paper but will grade your submission. Therefore papers may not be submitted for preliminary grading so that they may be submitted again.
O. Papers used for other classes are not acceptable. This is a standard academic practice.
P. Papers must be submitted using the Dropbox function. Papers that are emailed will not be accepted. Papers submitted after the due date will be penalized one letter grade for each day or partial-day that they are late. Once the deadline is reached, papers will not be accepted.
Q. Papers must be submitted in .doc, .docx, .pdf or .rtf formats. Many other formats cannot be opened. A paper that cannot be opened will not be considered as officially submitted. This assignment is not complete until the paper is submitted in an accepted, readable format.
R. NOTE: It takes a bit of time to listen to these podcasts and/or to read them. They are not long, but yet require your full attention for that short period. A paper that is hurried and/or superficial is usually quite easy to spot. These papers usually receive a failing grade.
