The research paper may focus on a specific issue concerning globalization of your choice. Within your paper, you must utilize the theories, literature, and discussions covered this quarter. Categories of appropriate topics for the paper are an event, an organization, or a situation found in current events, popular culture, literature, media, or from your own personal experience. You must cite at least 5 scholarly sources, including 2 from the course syllabus. The paper should be 8-10 pages typed, stapled, double-spaced, with 1-inch margins, in 12-point Times New Roman or Arial font.
Suggested outline format for paper:
State the purpose of your analysis
Give a preview of the paper topic. (Include a specific naming and description of the globalization issue.)
Summarize the topic (based on personal experience or media accounts)
Introduce and describe the specific aspects of topic you are going to analyze.
Provide an analytical framework (i.e, economic, cultural, linguistic, educational, etc)
Introduce and briefly explain the globalization theories you will utilize.
Specify the concepts you apply to the case.
Analyses of the case.
Isolate problems in the case.
Explain the above topic in terms of the theories/concepts you have picked.
How do they explain, predict, or provide insights into the topic?
Identify which aspects of the topic cannot be explained by your theories.
Conclude with summarizing what your argument.
