Compare/contrast essay over Frederick Douglass’s narrative and William Wells Brown’s narrative. Instructor requests similarities and differences between the two men and what were the focuses of their respective lives regarding slavery. 5 of the following topics must be included in the essay: type of work slaves performed, physical conditions of slavery experienced by them, regimens of discipline employed to keep their slave system operating, how slavery degraded humanity of African Americans, how slavery degraded humanity of whites, how slavery experience was defined by individual relationships, experienced of the authors with whites in free states, impact of slavery on the African American families, the type of education/training the authors obtained as slaves, and how the authors came to dire and then achieve freedom.
Essay needs to include page numbers in last name number font. You will use “Lalumandier” and then which ever page number it is after that. 12-point font in Times New Roman, one inch margins required.
