Assignment
You will examine all stakeholders associated with your project. Write a 4 page paper in which you:
1.Identify all stakeholders associated with the project. (Remember, there are differences in opinions within various stakeholders groups.)
2.Describe the interest that each stakeholders has in the project. (Sufficient detail is required so that the appropriate areas of interest are addressed in the risk management plan.)
3.Describe what are the possible consequences to the general acceptance and credibility of the plan if key stakeholders are omitted or not considered in the environmental health risk management plan.
Before you try to identify appropriate stakeholders for this project, it is recommended that you review the following site:
Identifying Stakeholders at http://web.mit.edu/urbanupgrading/upgrading/issues-tools/tools/Ident-stakeholders.html
The process of identifying stakeholders is very important for participatory analysis to be effective. You should understand that within an overall stakeholder group, such as oil companies or retail sales stores, opinions and positions on issues may vary significantly. Its the same thing in political parties.
Be sure to justify your opinions with evidence from the literature. Your answer should be supported by references and the references should be cited in the body of your discussion as well as in a reference list.
